Established in 1950, the Gemstar Group of Companies was founded on the strong pillars of quality and customer service.

Our journey began with dealing in mild steel flat products such as Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, & Galvanized Steel. Today, with over 50 years of perverseness & constant learning, we have diversified into processing, warehousing & are a distributor to various industries and consumers driven products. We’ve only been able to achieve this excellence because of the core values instilled and practiced by everyone in our organization over several generations.

JOURNEY

1950

First company formed “Indian Traders”, at Reay Road, Mumbai.

The firm was involved in trading and customized shearing activity of Flat Mild Steel (M.S) products such as Cold Rolled, Hot Rolled, Galvanized sheets.

1972

Established a fully equipped service centre “Bombay Engineering Metal Works”

The company was among the first few in Mumbai to carry on metal job work such as cut-to-length, slitting & customized shearing of mild steel products.

1997

Launch of Gemini Ispat Services in MIDC, Taloja, Maharashtra.

This venture was pioneered by Late. Hussain A. Bagasrawala at a time when all the engineering industries moved to M.I.D.C, Taloja. He took great strides into the fast evolving and competitive industry making it a well-established service centre.

2003

Gemini Ispat Services hits a new milestone: processes 25,000 metric tons.

The company achieved its 1st milestone of successfully processing and supplying quality mild steel products to its customers.

2005

Establishment of Leo Steel Processors at MIDC, Taloja.

It was time to set up a second processing unit. With the growing demand to support our needs and to cater to the needs of our existing customers on time, we decided to expand.

2012

Modernization & Fully equipped service centre

Change is the only universal constant. With the modernisation and establishment of these service centres, we became one of the leading service centres to process all mild steel coils and sheets and could deliver a finished product that resulted in customer satisfaction.

2015

Indian Traders expands its horizons: Additions to our product line

We expanded and began to trade products in other processed forms. We began to equip ourselves with a diversified range and began dealing in pre-coated mild steel along with cold and hot rolled steel.

2018

A new milestone achieved : processes 75,000 metric tons

To this day Gemstar group successfully, processes and delivers 75,000 metric tons of high-quality mild steel sheets and coils annually to its valuable customers.

2020

A new milestone achieved : processes 1,20,000 metric tons

Gemstar Group continues to efficiently process and deliver 120,000 metric tons of top-notch mild steel sheets and coils every year to its valued customers.

2022

Fully equipped service center that embraces modernization

We excel in processing mild steel coils and sheets, becoming a top service provider. Our consistent delivery of high-quality finished products satisfies customers and drives our success. Embracing change, we constantly adopt new technologies to enhance our services.
